Transitions are windows of opportunity to Discern, Discover, and Design your change.

When we fail to embrace transition as opportunity, we choose confusion over clarity. It’s time to manage the change and get the results you need.

As your coach, I’ll help you walk through your transition season with confidence and clarity.

Take the Encompass Journey
Discern, Discover, and Design your change.

1. Discernment: The Path to Clarity

To discern well is to forge a path to clarity. And clarity is what we need to move forward. This part of your coaching journey involves getting perspective in terms of where you've been and where you would like to go. It's about telling your story, finding your purpose, and establishing values. Begin to map out your journey with a newly formed sense of excitement, adventure, and creativity!

2. Discovery: Exploring New Possibilities

This part of the journey goes deeper into discovery. While component one may be driving past those destination points and looking out from the window of the car, this step requires getting out of the car, exploring the terrain, and noticing the details. What new opportunities exist? What’s most important and why?

3. Design Your Change

Work with me to create a plan to put discovery into action! This part of the journey involves mapping out the destination points and initiating movement. As you decide what fits into the itinerary and timeline, you begin to build the structure needed to move forward with greater confidence and clarity. Start taking tangible steps toward your next thing!

Tim Austin, PCC

As your coach, I want to help you grow, change, develop and achieve your life goals.
I was born and raised in Northern California. Following my college years, I enjoyed 20 years of living overseas with my family. During that time, I was a dad, missionary, pastor and entrepreneur. I began coaching leaders while abroad, supporting and developing individuals and teams. I've worked broadly in culturally diverse contexts.

My experience overseas causes me to view life as both a calling and journey of discovery. I believe transitions are fertile ground for clarity and growth. I approach coaching as a strategic point on the map of one's journey, where coach and client work together in creative partnership. I absolutely love supporting my clients through this process of discovery.

For fun and relaxation, I enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, reading, traveling, my church community and time with family and friends.

Tim really helped us navigate a difficult transition overseas in the middle of the pandemic. From knowing what things we could do to leave well and arrive well (given lockdown situations), to understanding how we have different styles and paces in dealing with change, to learning how to leverage our strengths, Tim was encouraging, supportive and flexible.

Tim has been an essential partner in helping me process my vocational transition. His life experience was beneficial in understanding my situation and empathizing through the questions I was asking myself. He was able to help me see things that I wasn’t aware of.

I began coaching with Tim during a season of transition and Sabbatical in my ministry life. Tim patiently listened, empathized, and asked great questions to help me process not only my season of ministry transition, but also the implications for my personal and spiritual life. I left each session with a set of action steps and clarity on my direction in a season that was anything but clear. I recommend that anyone in a season of transition make the time to meet with Tim - there is nothing quite like the gift of an hour that is focused solely on your own needs when we spend most of our lives taking care of others.
